Let Them Eat Cake!!

Today, at 1:13pm, Auston officially turned a year old. My, how time has flown by! It seems like just yesterday we were bringing this sweet baby home from the hospital. He has grown so much and is now walking and "talking." His favorite word is "baby." It's so sweet to watch him learn new things every day. We celebrated his birthday on Sunday with a house full of people that we love. It was so amazing to look around and see all of the awesome friends and family that God has put in our lives. I am so thankful for each and every one of them. Today is so bittersweet, but I know that Jimmy is up in heaven celebrating this special day with us. Even though there were a few tears shed today, our house was full of joy and laughter as we celebrated his birthday on Sunday. I couldn't have asked for anything more to celebrate this special day. Here is a video of Auston eating his birthday cake at the party. All I can say is "priceless!"

Looking at the video I had NO idea how much cake he had eaten...WOW Hope he slept OK! By the way I love the song you added you your blog. You did so well with this party. I am still encouraged and challenged by the faith and peace you have. I am amazingly proud to have you as MY sister! love you lots...give B and Auston and hug and kiss!

Does the boy LOVE cake, or what? I think he would have devoured the entire thing if you had not stopped him. What fun!

How fun, I agree with Vic, I can't believe he ate so much! It was a beautiful day and brought so much joy to our hearts. Yesterday, was a bittersweet day. I kept reflecting back on last year and the happiness in the room when our little guy made his apperance into this world. I know Jimmy was with you all yesterday and laughing at his sweet son.He is so proud of him, you and Braxton, I know.
You have been such an inspiration to your family and friends through all this. I know that your testimony of faith is reaching lots of people. Praise God in the highest for His continued blessings on our family. We love you Nana

Tricia, I saw your comment on Tara's blog and felt compelled to write you. What beautiful boys you have!
I lost my husband in a car accident Jan. 5, 2009 and my daughter turned two shortly after that so I know a little bit about how the birthday went for you. I'm due in August with a little boy-such a blessing! I feel the same about my children and I don't know where I'd be without them.
Tara is also an inspiration to me. Isn't it great that God knew you and I would need someone who has walked this road before us. I will add you to my prayer list. Bonnie
