WOW!!! What a day!!!
At 1:13pm on Monday, March 31st - Auston Luke came into this world. He was 7 pounds 4 ounces and 19 3/4 inches long.
I know he is my boy, but what a handsome little dude. It's kinda funny - he looks a lot like Braxton did as a newborn, but he has brown hair. Tricia thinks he might have a little dimple, but that has yet to be determined (I think she is searching for some if not any resemblance to her). Speaking of Tricia - what an incredible woman!!! She was a champ today!!!
As I am sitting here loading these pictures, I can't help but think how proud I am today. Proud to be Tricia's husband - proud to be Braxton & Auston's daddy - proud to have such an incredible family who was there in the waiting room supporting us - proud to have awesome friends who stopped by, called or sent a text that really made us feel loved - and the thing I am most proud of and humbled by is my relationship with God who continues to bless our lives in ways that I could have never imagined. Thank you God for this AWESOME day!!!
Here are a few pictures. The rest of them are on kodak.com - You can check them out by going to this link: Auston’s_Pictures

Just Thinking About...
Here I am, right about 11pm on March 30, 2008. Tomorrow morning Tricia and I will be parents for the second time. It's an incredible thought really - God is actually going to allow me to raise another child, He really does have a great sense of humor!!!
So what's the mood like right now? Well, the house is quiet - Tricia and Braxton both have already gone to bed - everything is packed and ready to go for our 6:45am departure to the hospital and while I am quickly realizing that life will never be the same (we are no longer going to be 3 but 4), I can't wait to meet the little guy!!!
I'll tell you all about him tomorrow night - sweet dreams!!!

Ready for Auston!?!?!?!
We are only 3 days away from Auston's arrival to our family!!! If you are a parent you can certainly understand our roller coaster of emotions - from excitement to fear to joy and then to exhaustion, the anticipation is incredible. It's a real-life high like nothing you could ever manufacture. God's creation can make our hearts pound out of our chests, our minds dance with imagination and our guts flutter with anticipation - all of which drives us to trust Him and praise Him with everything we have.
What goes through your mind when you think of God's greatest creation, the new baby? If you're a parent, what did you think about during those last couple of days before your child arrived? What did you pray for? I would love to know your thoughts!!!
Here are a few pictures of Baby Auston's room - didn't Tricia do an incredible job!!!

Easter 2008
Easter 2008 was a great day. After a wonderful church service, we came home to enjoy family and a little easter egg hunt at the house. As you can see in the video below, Braxton had a great time. After lunch we headed to the park where a local church in Corinth was hosting a huge "EGGstravaganza". I have never seen so many easter eggs in one place! Braxton had a blast picking up eggs along with about 250 other kids. It took us at least 30 minutes to open them all up. We did not get any video of the big easter egg hunt but there are a few pictures below.
