How on earth can two children born of the same parents be SO different? Braxton has always been my timid child. He always takes a step back to assess the risk / reward of any new activity. If there is any inkling of a chance that he will get hurt, he stays away. Auston, on the other hand, is the complete polar opposite. At only 14 months, I think this kid already gets a thrill from danger. Two weeks ago we went to a friend's community pool to swim. We weren't there long before he fell into the pool and banged his face up from his fall. Last week I awoke to the sound of a big "thud" and then heard screams coming from his room. I ran in his room only to find him grinning from ear to ear because he had managed to catapult himself out of his crib. Yesterday, he decided to jump out of his high chair onto the tile floor. The kid is fearless! I can only pray that the Lord sends an extra large legion of angels to protect him!
This morning he decided to eat sand. You would think after one handful of the stuff, he would have decided that it was gross. Nope, not Auston, he went back for a second helping!!!
Jimmy's legacy lives on...
Braxton walked into the back yard today and launched a huge wad of spit out of his mouth that landed about a cenimeter from my foot. Before I could give him the "what on EARTH were you thinking" look, he says, "Mommy, that's what Daddy used to do." Yep, it sure is. Thank you Jimmy for leaving behind such a priceless gift!

I've wondered the same thing so many times about my 2 girls! Karsyn is my daredevil too! Sounds like Auston will keep you on your toes!
Trish...this cracked me up! Love all of you too much.
This does remind me so much of the fun times we has with Jimmy when he was a little guy. Braxton may look just like him, but Auston definetly has his personality. They are both all boys. Thank you God for giving them to us. Thanks for the smile this brought, Tricia. Love you all Nana
oh cute! You so blessed to have them! I don't know what I would do without my boys:) And already (at micah being 8weeks) I see differences between them... makes me excited for tomorrow....
I LOL on the spitting comment! Funny!!
They are both so darned cute! They will keep you on your toes.
Trish, we love you and are praying for you.
Aidan had a cheese stick covered in sand and loved every bite of it!!! Boys.
Okay, now I am just plain grateful that my little one has never even thought to get out of the crib.....and she's 2 next month! :-) You are going to be busy watching him! HeeHee
Oh my funny friend...that made me laugh! Both of those stories are priceless. Thanks for sharing and I would love to spend time again with ya'll soon-
